Weekend Service Mask Update

  • Starting this weekend, May 23rd, masks will be optional at Woodlawn Church!
  • We welcome our guests to wear masks as you see fit and will continue to provide them for anyone that wishes to wear one
  • Woodlawn’s Cleaning Team will continue to sanitize the building before and after church services.
  • We’ll continue to make adjustments upon Governor DeWine’s update on June 2nd
  • We will always do our best to make Woodlawn a safe place for you and your family.

We are Stronger Together!

We are entering Phase 2 for re-opening the church on the weekend of October 3-4!

Children’s ministries will open at all three services.

There is a detailed plan laid out on the following pages for you to view.

We hope you are able to join us, but if not, the online services are provided so you can stay connected to the family!

Please notify us if you or your family have need of anything.

Re-Opening Plan – Phase 2

In-Person Services

  • An RSVP will not be requested
  • Services will be 60 minutes long to reduce traffic flow between services and allow time for cleaning
  • Exterior doors will open 30 minutes prior

Weekend Service Times

  • Saturday 6pm
  • Sunday 9am
  • Sunday 10:45am

*Online Streaming will continue for the adult worship experience

Ministries that Will Open

  • ∙ Nursery (6 wks – 2 years)
  • ∙ Preschool (3 – 5 years)
  • ∙ Saturday – Preschoolers attend with KidsLink
  • ∙ KidsLink (Grades K – 4)
  • ∙ Fuse (Grades 5-7; Starts after worship at the 10:45am service)
  • ∙ Kids Check In Station

KidsLink online streaming will continue.

  • ∙ Visit the new Woodlawn Kids online resource site for games, music, activities and archived services

Masks

  • ∙ Masks are not required for Preschool and KidsLink attendees but will be left to the discretion of parents.
  • ∙ Weekend service attendees over the age of 10 are encouraged to wear a mask.
  • ∙ All teachers, leaders, and volunteers will be required to wear a mask.

Social Distancing Practices

  • ∙ Auditorium and classroom doors will be propped for touchless entry
  • ∙ Auditorium will be seated to half capacity or less
  • ∙ Overflow rooms will be available and seated at half capacity
  • ∙ No hugs, handshakes, or highfives yet
  • ∙ Elbow bumps are welcome!
  • ∙ We urge you to congregate and fellowship outside of the building
  • ∙ Offering will be collected in slot boxes at the rear of the auditorium

 Sanitation

  • ∙ Building will be cleaned before and after services
  • ∙ Includes hard surfaces, doorknobs, bathrooms etc.
  • ∙ Chairs sprayed
  • ∙ Hand sanitizer stations throughout the building

Kid’s Check In and Temperature Station

  • ∙ A Check In volunteer will assist for a touchless experience
  • ∙ A Volunteer will be present to take the temperature of all students before admission into Woodlawn Kids

Preschool and KidsLink Protocol

  • ∙ Spaces, chairs, toys etc. will be cleaned before and after services
  • ∙ Hands sanitized upon entering (Fuse included)
  • ∙ Social distancing markings on floor for drop off and pick up
  • ∙ No snacks or water

Preschool Details (Preschool attends with KidsLink on Saturday)

  • ∙ Limit to 12-14 students per room
  • ∙ Limited toys – bin rotation so each service has clean toys
  • ∙ 2-3 year olds will be in a room
  • ∙ 4-5 year olds will be in a room
  • ∙ Parents will be called to assist their children for a restroom break

KidsLink Details

  • ∙ The gymnasium seating will be spaced
  • ∙ Children will be released one-at a time for restroom breaks

Government Mask Mandate

The COVID-19 epidemic has been a challenging and ever-changing crisis for our nation.  That being said, we would like to thank everyone for wearing a mask to our weekend services.  

As you know Governor DeWine mandated masks in public to stop the spread of COVID-19.  

As the bible states in Romans 13 we want to honor our governing authorities and, as a church, we want to do our part in keeping people healthy.  

Therefore, we are asking everyone 10 years of age and above to wear a mask throughout the entirety of the service unless you have a documented medical condition that prohibits you from wearing one.  

Again, we thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone again! 

Our in-person services will be touchless, clean and safe.

An RSVP will be requested by email each week to let us know you are coming so we can properly prepare for social distancing.

Families will sit together because children’s ministries will not be in operation yet.
