Matt Coutcher
Lead Pastor
Matt Coutcher came to Woodlawn Church in May of 2013 with over fifteen years of full time ministry experience. Prior to coming to Canton, Matt and his wife Christy spent eight years as lead pastors of The Church on 53 in Fremont, OH. Under their leadership the church grew in weekly attendance from forty to over six hundred.
After eleven years of marriage they welcomed their miracle son, Brady, into the world and daughter Ashlyn. Matt and Christy enjoy being outdoors and spending time with their kids. Matt also enjoys playing golf and riding his motorcycle.
Matt and Christy are honored to serve Woodlawn Church. Their passion is reaching people who are far from God or spiritually restless and developing them into fully devoted followers of Christ. They believe God loves all people and the local church is the main vehicle through which God’s love is shared.

Zac & Emily Howard
Worship Pastor/ Creative Arts
Zac and Emily Howard are worship leaders, songwriters, and pastors who joined the Woodlawn Team in August of 2014 to serve as the Worship Pastors.
They have four beautiful children, Kayleigh, Kiley, and Kenzley and Bentley!
Zac & Emily have toured the US and abroad for worship gatherings, conferences, and workshops. They have shared the stage with artists such as Ricardo Sanchez, Derek Johnson (Jesus Culture), Desperation Band, Gateway Worship, Jaime Grace, Andy Mineo, Lee Choir, and more.
Zac and Emily are passionate about people encountering the love of the Father. Their worship leading creates an atmosphere filled with the power and peace of God. Their worship style is marked by spontaneous moments of tenderness in God’s presence, where they believe life change happens!

Andrew & Jen Dalrymple
Youth Pastor/ Young Adults Pastor
Andrew Dalrymple came to Woodlawn in 2020 after working in the banking industry for 12 years. Prior to Woodlawn, Andrew served as a part time youth pastor in Canton. He studied at Kent State University and Mid-America Christian University.
Andrew and his wife, Jennifer, have been married since 2005. They have two dogs, Mollie and Myrttle. In their spare time, they love to travel, spend time with friends, and help with various productions of the Perry High School Theatre.

Dan James
Community Groups Pastor
Dan James grew up attending Woodlawn Church. After working in the auto-finance industry for 18 years, Dan officially came on staff in February 2023 as Community Groups Pastor.
Dan and his wife Keirston have been married since July 2003. They have 3 daughters, Taylor, Emma, and Bella. In his spare time, Dan loves to watch sports and cook.

Sean Murphy
Preschool Director
Sean Murphy oversees the Woodlawn Kids Pre-school Ministry. His heart and vision is to see children of all ages come to know Jesus and become disciples of the Lord through worship, play, and Bible teaching. He, his wife Emily, and their 3 children reside in North Canton and have been members of Woodlawn for many years. Sean is also licensed to teach Pre-K-3rd grade and teaches pre-school for Stark County Educational Services at Minerva Elementary School.

Brittany Hartshorn
Administrative Assistant
Brittany has attended Woodlawn for 17+ years and came on staff in 2014. She has a heart to see people grow in their relationship with God and with others. She and her husband, Brian were married in 2020.

Chris McInally
Building and Maintenance
Chris McInally and his family have been members of Woodlawn Church for 6 years. He and his wife Joy have been married for 20 years. They have 2 sons. Samuel and Jonathan. Together they love and enjoy serving the Lord.
Chris loves to work and serve God. He enjoys maintaining the Lord’s House and making it a welcoming place for friends and families to worship and serve our Lord God.

Abigail Nussbaum
Nursery & 2’s Director
Abigail Nussbaum came to Woodlawn in 2013 as a sophomore in high school. After being a manager at Chick-Fil-A for 8 years, Abby became a stay at home mom and in July of 2023 began leading our Nursery and 2’s classrooms.
Abby and her husband, Kris, have been married since June of 2018. They have 2 young boys, Maverick and Milo. They have a passion for connecting with parents while also helping to set a foundation for little ones to grow to love God and church.
